ABOUT THIS FOB
What is a fob? A fob is traditionally a chain that attaches a pocket watch to clothing. My fobs are different in that they are intended to be used in a number of other ways:
1) Since there is a clasp on both ends, the fob can be used to attach a pair of scissors to a knitting or crochet bag.
2) The fob can also be used as a holder for stitch markers. Knitting stitch markers with a closed ring can be captured in the clasps and crochet/lace stitch markers with a removable ring can be attached to a clasp, the chains, or any other available space.
3) The large beads serve as an abacus for tracking stitch counts or row counts.
4) The fob can be wrapped around the wrist like a bracelet and secured with the clasps.
As part of the Queen's Audience Collection, these lovely fobs feature sturdy yet delicate silver- and gold-plated brass filigree beads strung on silver-plated brass rolo style chains. A large lobster clasp made of cadmium-free zinc alloy on each end of the piece is connected to the chains by lovely silver-toned connector findings which are made of lead- and nickel-free zinc alloy. Queen's Audience focal beads, matching the rest of the Queen's Audience Collection decorate each end of the fob and small gold-plated brass beads decorate each end of the chains.
- Approximate Length: 9 1/4 in (240 mm)
These fobs are made to order. The photos shown are examples and the final products will match these photos in look and quality with the exception of differences due to the handmade manufacturing process and the natural variability in beads.
The price listed is for a single fob. Please select the quantity you would like and the color of the focal bead in the options when checking out.

There are 2 colors of 9 beads each - gold and silver. Each color is considered a digit in a two-digit number. The beads in one color will count from 1 to 9 (1's digit) and the beads in the other color will count from 10 to 90 (10's digit). Let's use gold for the 10's digit and silver for the 1's digit.
Pick one end of the fob to be the "working end." The opposite end will then be the "storage end." Slide all the beads to the storage end of their chains.
For each completed stitch/row, slide a silver bead to the working end of the fob. When you run out of silver beads (there are 9 silver beads total), slide a gold bead to the working end of the fob (10's digit) and slide the silver beads back to the storage end. Next, continue sliding a silver bead back to the working end as a row/stitch is completed. Again when you run out of silver beads, slide a gold bead to the working end and move all the silver beads back to the storage end. Continue in this pattern. This abacus will count up to 99 rows/stitches.
To determine the most recently finished row:
multiple the number of gold beads at the working end times 10
multiply the number of silver beads at the working end times 1
Add the results together.

Shipping & policies
MarkiDieux handmade products are all made-to-order (MTO). This means that I do not carry completed stock for immediate shipping. Since I carry a wide variety of products, I do not keep all materials in stock as this is very cost-prohibitive. Therefore, I require time to make the handmade products which takes usually within 1-4 days. Very large orders will take longer. Time will be also be needed for my supplier(s) to process and ship any materials that I do not have on hand. This usually takes 5-7 days, but some suppliers will take longer. For example, lampwork beads will need hand-manufacturing time as well as shipping. A few of my suppliers are overseas, and this can add significantly to the manufacturer’s shipping time.
Please contact me before ordering if your order is time-sensitive so I can give you a realistic estimate on delivery.
Most orders will be processed within 7 days after receipt of payment.
After I process your order, I will ship your products to you. You will be notified by email when your order ships.
I send all of my orders through USPS. Unless a quicker delivery method is chosen (Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express), I will send your order by First Class mail. Shipping charges will be calculated during the checkout process.
Tracking is included in the price, and you'll get an email with tracking details when your order ships.
To ensure adequate protection of your items, I package them inside a jewelry box and seal them in a bubble wrap mailing envelope.

More About Me:
I take pride in my work. I personally create every product that I sell. All work takes place in a smoke-free environment, and each piece is inspected closely to ensure the highest quality.
Because my items are hand-crafted, no two are exactly alike. Beads may differ slightly in size, shape and color. Any wire wrapped items (like stitch marker rings) may vary in size and shape. This only adds to the uniqueness of my items.
I don't just want satisfied customers - I want ecstatic customers that are confident in their decision to buy from me again and again. I welcome your questions, comments, and suggestions.
Disclosure: MarkiDieux used to named StixMarkers. I transitioned the shop to a new business model and name in September-October 2015.
