Hope's poncho was designed for the daughter of a student of mine. She wanted a poncho to keep her 10 year old daughter warm and, at the same time, with her arms free to play on the cold Fall days. The poncho is worked from the neck down, increasing stitches by yarn over every other round. You can adjust the length of it until you reach the decorative border. The pattern is also reversible, so the child does not have to pay attention what side is the public side. Easy to knit and comes with two choices for neck finishing: a crew neck or a turtle neck as the picture shows.
