A beautiful Sajou gift box containing the complete cross stitch kit for making up the Toile du Jouy Mignionnette pot in blue.

The kit is contained in a beautiful Retours du Nord work box which is the perfect size for fitting into your bag so you can embroider your project 'on the go'.
The finished embroidered pot measures 4.2 cm high and 7.3 cm diameter.

The Mignonnette designs are part of a collection of several historical prints available for cross stitch that are taken from The Toile du Jouy Museum pattern archives.

The Gift box includes;

A Sajou 10 cm wooden embroidery hoop
A Sajou pattern chart for embroidering the design
A 14 cm square piece of Sajou sand linen 32 threads per inch/ 12 count
The Retour du Nord Embroidery threads for working the embroidery
A round box with a metal base and lid with a cardboard disc for mounting the embroidery and a band of matching patterned paper to cover the side of the box.

The work boxes for these pots come in four designs, which are selected at random and measure 15.5 x 12 x 5.5 cm.

This gift box is also available for working in the following colours; orange, pink, red and purple. The gift boxes are also available in the following Toile du Jouy designs; Marley, Dampierre and Breteuil..

Larger embroidery charts for Toile du Jouy designs can be found in my shop along with other embroidery charts and kits inspired by the designs and history of the Bayueux Tapestry.

Some of you will already be collectors of Sajou and be more than aware of this extraordinary French brand. Sajou produce haberdashery items made in France to the highest standards (in some cases even produced on the original old machinery). Perfect for gifts and collectors, and for those of you unable to resist a quality that is seldom found in today's mass produced haberdashery products.

Sajou was created in 1828 by Jaques- Simon Sajou, selling haberdashery for embroidery, tapestry, lace, crochet and weaving. His pattern albums are sought after to this day by collectors worldwide. In 2005 the Sajou brand was purchased and revived by avid collector; Frederique Crestin- Billet. Many of the old designs have been faithfully reproduced and there are some new designs that have been added in the Sajou style.
