Some hunt for years and never find any marbles. Why some beaches and not others? And how do they end up in the ocean? One source-marbles were once used to keep the carbonation contained in soda bottles manufactured in Japan. Others say, marbles were put in paint cans and others were children's toys. Basically, who knows?
