Each process to create this skein of yarn was done slowly and 100 percent on the farm..from the shearing, to the gentle washing and hand dyeing. Then after dry, the dyed wool is carded on a drum carder, blending with soft dyed kid mohair. Then the batts are hand spun on my cherry Canadian production Vermont Wheel. Each step is done with care and creativity.
Tansy, one of our beautiful ewes donated her wool for these blue/purple skeins of yarn. Each skein is 175 yards of light worsted weight yarn-best if using size 6-8 needles, it weighs 2.75 ounces.
