These blanks make stunning pens! I contacted the seller for a few turning tips and he said to use a black spray paint to paint the inside of the hole drilled into the acrylic and turn at a very high rpm until you get close to final shape. Then reduce speed to prevent the resin from melting. I sanded through 12,000 grit stopping after each grit to sand the blanks lengthwise and finished up with some plastic polish compound. The colors in the blank were very deep and vibrant and made a stunning pen. They polished up to a glass-like surface too!
