Item details

Net darning, which is also called filet lace is a 19th century technique using stitching on a mesh fabric to imitate lace. This is done by needle weaving, a drawn thread work embroidery technique which involves darning patterns into bare-laid warp or weft threads.

The designs in this booklet from Back Street are for simple net darning which is forming the patterns by weaving in and out of the squares of net. The book includes general information, practice design instructions and charts for Sea Horse, Angel Fish, Sea collage, Conch, Nautilus, Sandpipers and a Crab.

The booklet is in excellent condition.

This is shipped within the US with plastic and board so that you receive it in the same condition I did. For shipping outside the US, it is packaged without board to reduce your costs.
