ABOUT COOKING WITH LAVENDER
"Lavender has a floral-spicy fragrance with faint notes of lemon and mint."

A culinary Lavender simple syrup (see recipe below) adds a delightful botanical note to lemonade, icing and desserts or cocktails. And culinary Lavender buds can be added to tea blends, for steeping.
* A little Lavender adds a lot of flavor, so use sparingly.

Lavender goes well with blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, rhubarb, cherries & plums, custards, ice cream, as well as with savory meats such as lamb. It's also a lovely addition to shortbread cookie recipes and cakes.
