This item is 10 assorted gray muscovy duck feathers, from the flank of a muscovy duck. These feathers are particularly large and have a grizzled light gray color. They are pretty matte, not really iridescent at all. Some seem nearly white or are a light champagne. They are very soft and flexible. They naturally have a gentle curl. I include a variety of sizes in the bag, from 4-6." These bags include some of the largest non-wing feathers I have. We raise our ducks naturally. The mother ducks sit on their own eggs and raise their own babies on pasture. In the photo you can see a couple of our Muscovy hens and a grey drake, Sweet Man. Muscovies are not actually ducks, although they are similar. They are very good mothers and most years we have to pay close attention to not end up with far more muscovies than we need. Our muscovies are primarily meat birds, and we process most of the ducklings in the fall. We try to use every part of the animal and respect them to the end.
