Sewing Pattern - Vogue 2946 - Vogue American Designer camisole, skirt and petticoat by Ralph Lauren - Factory Folded

Designed by Ralph Lauren, a designer made famous by his timeless American style, this ensemble is feminine and gorgeous. From the delicate top with its bow and ruffles, to the playful underskirt/overskirt combination, this is a Ralph Lauren classic. Also, be sure to check out the envelope flap for a photo of young Ralph Lauren! :)

From the pattern envelope: "Misses' Camisole, Skirt and Petticoat. Fitted camisole has neckline ruffles (may be worn off shoulders), side front and side back seams and narrow hem. Purchased ribbon for drawstring. Slightly flared skirt, mid-calf length has front-buttoned waistband and side pockets. Slightly flared petticoat, lower mid-calf length has side-buttoned waistband, side pocket, side pocket opening, hemline tucks and self or purchased hemline ruffle. Purchased belt or sash."

Featured in Vogue Patterns May/June 1982 and in Vogue Patterns March/April 1983.

Suggested fabrics: soft or crisp fabrics; cotton broadcloth, lightweight denim, handkerchief linen, sheeting, crepe de chine and madras.

From the envelope flap: "POLO BY RALPH LAUREN. Polo, a word that conjures up a cosmopolitan and thoroughbred image, was chosen by Lauren to label his sportives... because that's exactly what his clothes are... the exemplary classics."

If this is not your size, but you are interested in customizing the fit of this design, please see Threads magazine's helpful article describing the process in detail: http://www.threadsmagazine.com/item/4424/quick-reference-for-cut-and-spread-pattern-grading (by Terry Horlamus, from Threads #101, pp. 66-70).

Condition: Very good. The pattern pieces are uncut and factory folded. The instruction sheets are in good condition. Some yellowing of all paper, due to age; the pattern is believed to be from 1982. Some wear and tear along the envelope's edges. There is a tear (approximately one inch) along the fold at the envelope's bottom left edge and a hot pink smudge to the right of the model's face. Please see all photos.

This item is an original vintage sewing pattern from the 1980s and does not include a finished garment, notions, fabric or a fabric label. Please note that the belt/sash on the envelope illustration was purchased; it is not part of the pattern.
