Many of the items listed on Lyly’s Sapa Boutique are made using recycled or aging materials, coloured with natural dyes, while all are produced in traditional Hmong family homes, which are simple structure with dirt floors that are also used for raising children, washing, cooking, smoking meats, and storing rice and firewood, etc. As a result, individual items may have some minor flaws, such as imperfect embroidery, loose stitching and small marks or discolorations. I believe, however, that they do not detract from the beauty of the item and only add to its uniqueness.
