Pale Rose is a gorgeous, delicate pale pink.
Prices are by the yard. If you would like multiple yards, please choose from the dropdown menu for up to 3 continuous yards on one hand-made wooden spool.
Our ribbons are hand made by us in England from 100% silk and carefully dyed using colours derived from plants and trees. These processes - sometimes taking many days to achieve - lend a beautiful, layered glow to the ribbon.
Our 2" and 4" ribbons are made from crepe de chine, which has a gorgeous low lustre, a lovely drape and a beautifully soft frayed edge. We love the subtle glow that our colours have in this fabric! There is no seam in 2" and 4" wide ribbon lengths.
Our 1" ribbon is made from bias cut silk habutai. Because it's cut diagonally across the width of the fabric, it has a bit of stretch to it as well as a seam about every 3 yards or so.
It should be noted that while we adhere to a formula for each colour, since these are hand made textiles, some variation between batches will occur. It should also be noted that some variation along the length of the ribbon may occur, due to the nature of the dyes - this is part of what makes plant dyed ribbons unique and special!
We source the fabrics from which we make our ribbon from suppliers who are deeply committed to environmentally sustainable business practices, as we are. It's important to us at Nettle that we leave the world more beautiful and better for us than it would have been without us ♡

Shipping & policies
Orders placed during the period of March 14th to March 24th will be shipped within 2 weeks. Those placed on and after March 24th will ship within 3-5 days.
Nettle will be working from both Portland, Oregon and Whitstable, England from the end of March 2018. This will allow us to ship all of our orders more quickly. For any questions about this period, please don't hesitate to ask.
Delivery cannot be guaranteed by a certain date unless you'd like to purchase extra shipping to cover next day delivery. If that is the case, please contact me and I can set that up for you.
Some international orders may be subject to import taxes or customs, which I cannot control. These are determined by your country's government and may be collected by the shipping courier at the time of delivery. Your local postal authority will have more information about customs fees, duties and taxes specific to your location.
Orders to the UK are set at a flat rate that allows me to send them with a signature required, which I have found is the most cost effective way to make sure they don't wander off.
Expedited shipping is available for an additional cost. Please contact me if you'd like to add that on.
Payment is required before shipping. I accept all Etsy-facilitated payments.

Alternative widths and shades of colour are almost always available. Just ask!
Since my textiles are made by hand in small batches, in order to ensure the high quality and attention to detail for which my customers are looking, it's not possible to make them to a scale that would facilitate wholesale prices.
A modest discount, however, is available on orders over 100 yards.
