35 grams of WINE coated copper jewellery wire - 0.25mm/30 gauge.
This is approximately 82 metres of wire in length.
I use this gauge in particular for my knitted and crocheted wire jewellery. It is flexible and soft enough that it doesn't hurt your fingers when you knit, but strong enough to keep it's shape when knitted/crocheted up.
From years of experience of knitting with wire, even a slightly thicker wire, 0.3mm for example, will start to hurt if you knit with it for too long.
One reel will make around 5 average size bracelets or 2 spiral necklaces.
A note on gauges:
SWG = Standard or Sterling Wire Gauge, a British wire measurement system using mm.
AWG =American Wire Gauge - a system of numerical wire sizes that start with the lowest numbers (6/0) for the largest sizes. The gauge sizes are each 20.6% apart based on the cross sectional area. AWG is also known as Brown & Sharpe Gage.
It's useful to know the different gauges, as various craft projects might refer to british or american measurements. It may help to clarify the thickness you need.
