This Centon SLR camera dates from the late 1980’s and came from a range of cameras and accessories sold by the Jessops chain of retailers.
The Centon DF-300 is a compact SLR camera body with a Minolta MD SR-bayonet mount. It can be used with most of the lenses, which are made for Minolta's manual focus SLRs. It's a copy of Minolta's X-300, which was produced in the same Shanghai, China factory.
The camera is supplied with a Centon MC 50mm 1:1.8, 28-70mm 1:3.5-4.5 and 70-210mm 1:4-5.6 lenses. A neck strap, two lens filters (49mm UV and 52mm UV), plus a Centon FG30D electronic flash unit are also supplied along with brand-new batteries in the camera and flash. Finally, the original printed manuals are supplied for the camera, plus the flash unit.
Fully tested and working, this camera kit is perfect for a student or 35mm newbie looking for a decent SLR with multiple lenses without a massive price tag.
