Here's a fun, ornate collection of paper items, featuring the artwork of author and illustrator James A. Owen. I created these two boxes and three envelopes from the pages of a calendar, because re-purposing calendars is one of my favorite crafty things to do.
The envelopes each measure 9.5 inches by 4.25 inches. They have a line of peel-and-seal tape and are fully usable for postal mail, as long as you use self-adhesive postage stamps. Because the calendar pages were double-sided, the inside of each envelope also features an intriguing design.
The boxes each measure 3.5 inches square and are 1.75 inches tall. These are perfect for giving small gifts! I also use boxes like this on my desktop, to store paperclips and other office supplies. If you do choose to use the boxes as gift wrapping, take care to pad around them when shipping them, as they may buckle under too much pressure.
