For all the people who love and adore Tamora Pierce's first fantasy heroine: Alanna the Lioness, Lady Knight of Tortall, and all-round kick ass woman!
Let this bookmark mark your progress in your next literary adventure whenever you are forced to take a break.
A cross-stitched bookmark inspired by the ever-wonderful Song of the Lioness Quartet by Tamora Pierce. The quote reads: "He was stupid. If I killed everyone who was stupid, I wouldn't have time to sleep." - Alan(na) of Trebond, In the Hand of the Goddess (book 2).
Also included is a backstitch pattern with an alternative quote: "Men don't think any differently from women. They just make more noise about being able to." - Alanna of Trebond, Woman Who Rides Like A Man (book 3).
This is a PDF cross-stitch pattern for the shield (and quote) of Alanna the Lioness. This was designed as a bookmark, but you can be as adventurous as you want with the placement. (And the words you use to put underneath!)
This pattern includes stitches of 3/4 stitches and backstitch as well as full cross-stitches. There is french knots in this pattern also. This is probably best suited to an intermediate level cross-stitcher (It can be easy to miscount things, be careful!)
Included in the PDF file:
- Colour cross stitch chart with symbols
- Colour backstitch chart
- Colour information
IMPORTANT NOTE: Colour info references DMC colour numbers only.
The finished size of the piece on 14 count aida cloth is 26 (width) X 102-113 (height) stitches, approximately 2 X 7.3-7.5 inches, (5 X 18.25-19 cm). The PDF pattern is available for INSTANT DOWNLOAD after purchase. Please check your invoice for the download button.
