Item details

A beautiful plant with great flavour!

Silvery, velvety soft vines produce fruit that is also soft and fuzzy like a peach. I have grown several tomato varieties that display this trait over the years and it can be really hit or miss. 'Velvet Red' is an absolute, hit producing super sweet little cherries, and LOTS of them!

Make sure to zoom in on my photos to see the soft, velvety fuzz.

Special Notes:

Indeterminate vines. Fuzzy, red, cherry-sized fruit. Open-pollinated. Mid-season. 75-80 days.

No less than 20 seed per packet. [Please note that the number of seeds per package varies with each variety and is dependant on stock. Some varieties produce less seed than others so I adjust accordingly.]

Grown and harvested in the 2016 gardening season.

----------------------------------------

Growing:

Start seed indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Transplant outdoors after danger of frost has passed.

About My Seeds:

All of the seeds that I sell were lovingly homegrown and harvested by me, small scale, in my urban garden using organic methods only -- no chemicals or pesticides whatsoever. Tomato varieties are isolated to stay true using the flower bagging method and I test for germination quality. I take special care in choosing varieties that I find unusual, interesting and fabulous, and/or especially suitable for growing in small space gardens.
