This listing is a pdf of a hand knitting pattern to create this cute Kitty Cushion cover. The front features a smiley cat face worked from a chart using the double knitting technique.
The chart would also be suitable for the intarsia technique but please note that if using intarsia, the tension and yarn requirements may differ from that stated.
The back is knitted using a simple slip stitch colour work pattern for the lower section and rib for the upper section. The pattern as worked is designed to fit a 30cm square cushion pad.
The pattern worked with the double knitting technique requires two 50g balls each of Rowan Kid Classic and Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran (both are worsted/aran weight yarns), a pair of 4mm and 3 3/4mm needles (or alternative sizes to create the required tensions) and a cushion pad. Please note that Rowan Kid Classic goes a long way (140m/153yds per 50g ball) so if substituting yarns please check your meterage/yardage per ball.
The pattern is suitable both for experienced knitters, and for less experienced knitters wishing to practice their colour work and chart reading skills.
Please note that this is a pdf download of a knitting pattern which will be available to you once payment has been confirmed.
