THE SMALL PRINT:
**NOTE ON BACKGROUND ITEMS/DISPLAYS: Any other items in the photo(s) are for display purposes only; for perspective and to emphasize scale in relation to other one-inch scale items, or how a piece may look in relation to other items of a similar theme.
**NOTE ON PINTEREST & EXTRA PHOTOS: I often include extra photos of my items on Pinterest, since the five little Etsy pictures allowed here sometimes aren't enough. Use this link to visit my Pinterest Page: https://www.pinterest.com/missminimaker/miss-mini-makers-etsy-listings/ where you can see photos of all the items I've listed on Etsy. While you're there feel free to take a look at my Etsy Team's board: https://www.pinterest.com/minuial/dollhouse-miniatures-team-vintage-and-handmade/ for other great minis by talented artists and vintage suppliers.
*NOTE ON QUALITY CONTROL: Handmade miniature items may not always be perfectly round, square or symmetrical, and may contain minor inconsistencies or imperfections, due to the nature of the process used to develop such small products. I do my best to make/use the best pieces I can.
**NOTE ON ADDITIONAL ITEMS FOR SALE: When applicable, some other items in the background may still be available in separate listings. Please visit my shop.
**NOTE ON PHOTOGRAPHS: The depth and detail of minis cannot always be fully appreciated through photos. Sometimes photos of a specific item come out better when that item is in the background of a photo for another item. I sometimes include these photos to give you the best overall impression of each item. Minis are notoriously difficult to photograph, since “flaws” invisible to the naked eye always seem to be captured by the camera, and intricate details are often hard for cameras to capture clearly.
**NOTE ON PACKAGING: Items may be shipped adhered (with a temporary adhesive) to a cardstock base and/or in a box with packaging displaying my moniker.
IF YOU ARE PLEASED WITH YOUR PURCHASE PLEASE LEAVE ME A POSITIVE REVIEW. THANK YOU!

***INTERNATIONAL BUYERS*** Please contact me prior to making any purchase if you have any questions about shipping rates not specified on my Shipping Policy Page. Most items shipped to international addresses are shipped in boxes.
-PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS PRIOR TO MAKING A PURCHASE.
-SEE MY STORE POLICIES FOR ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.
**NOTE ON COLOR, SIZE & SHAPE of MINIS: Handcrafted items may vary in size, texture etc. This is simply a by-product of making things carefully by hand, instead of by machine. These "inconsistencies" do not qualify as gross mis-characterizations or misrepresentations. Nor do differences in color based on computer monitor resolution and other technological settings. An item may be a deeper shade of, say, red than you thought it would be based on how it appeared on your computer’s monitor. All I can say is: I take the photos until the colors in the picture on my monitor’s screen match the item(s) I am listing. Beyond that, I cannot control color resolution between computers.
**FOR ADULT COLLECTORS ONLY. MISS MINI MAKER’S MINIATURES ARE NOT TOYS AND ARE NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN**

Please contact me if shipping upgrade options do not automatically appear in this listing. There are technical difficulties that sometimes prevent me from applying shipping upgrades to listings that include Free Domestic shipping via First Class Mail. If you contact me, I can manually add the shipping service you would like to upgrade to, along with the charge for that service. Sorry for the difficulty. Hopefully Etsy will fix this soon.
I generally use the USPS Priority Flat Rate Small Box when upgrading your shipping service. As long as the item(s) you purchase will fit in that size box. Most of my items will fit just fine. If you're unsure, just "convo" me. This service is the least expensive expedited shipping upgrade available.
Please keep in mind that national holidays will impact shipping times on domestic and international orders. Please order items well in advance of holidays (particularly Christmas) as cutting it too close (less than two weeks--just in the U.S.) could result in your item(s) not arriving in a timely manner.
^^For U.S. Buyers^^ : I ship via First Class Mail (up to 13 oz), via the US postal service, usually within 1 business day of receiving payment, Eastern Standard Time. Purchases made Mon - Fri by 7PM (EST) will ship the next business day. Purchases made on a Saturday or Sunday ship on Monday (or the next business day.)
I generally ship non-fragile items to domestic locations in an envelope. I only mark envelopes "Fragile" out of an abundance of caution, thanks to a bit of advice I received from my mail carrier; just as a heads up to post office handlers. Truly fragile items are shipped in boxes. And I always pack my items with care.
If I can ship your item using the USPS online shipping service it will come with tracking already included in the price you've paid. I ship most items this way. However, on occasion, there are problems with buyer's addresses and other inconsistencies that make online shipping impossible for some transactions. If this should happen, I will not be able to ship your item with tracking, as the USPS does not offer tracking for First Class Mail when I take a package to the post office. I have no idea why.
You can upgrade your shipping service to the USPS Priority Flat Rate Small Box so long as the item(s) you purchase will fit. Most of my items will fit just fine. If you're unsure, just convo me.
*According to the USPS, Priority Mail should include up to $50.00 in insurance coverage, at no additional charge, and should deliver your package to you in about three business days (excluding weekends). I cannot guarantee insurance coverage, as the USPS reserves the right to change this policy at any time.
*See the USPS website for further details, as some exclusions apply. Most domestic buyers will likely fall into the parameters for insurance coverage and delivery time. But the USPS site can answer your questions better than I can.
^^ International Buyers^^ : Calculated international shipping charges are available in each listing and reflect First Class International Rates. Shipping times related to this service usually varies by country. The USPS website did not offer this information, even when I searched by country. I believe I need a specific shipping address to determine an estimated shipping time.
I generally ship any item going to an international destination in a box, for added protection, unless an envelope will suffice. Most packages I ship weigh less than one pound. I always pack items with care.
If shipping upgrades are not automatically calculated in a listing, it will need to be researched according to destination country on my end. So please contact me before you purchase any of my items if you need help with upgrading to a faster service. I cannot guarantee delivery times. The U.S. post office has complete control over this.
International Shipping vagaries may delay receipt of items, though I usually ship packages within 1 business day of receipt of payment.
Any necessary communication between us after the completion of a sale, but prior to shipping, may impact the actual shipping time (based on how long it takes for us to connect to resolve any issue(s), particularly when time zone differences apply.
Customs/Duty fees are the buyer's responsibility. I cannot mark sale items as "gifts" on Customs Declaration forms, as this is illegal, and the Etsy shipping tool automatically fills in this area of the form as "merchandise."
Shipping time could be delayed if Customs flags your item for inspection, or if there is a holiday in both or either of our countries that delays delivery time. I have no control over this, so please do not hold it against me when reviewing me as a seller.
Payment is due at the time of sale. I accept Etsy Direct Checkout, which includes Paypal as a payment option. I also accept Etsy gift cards. If there are any payment issues, please contact me immediately so we can discuss it and work out a resolution.
Returns & exchanges
REFUNDS: DOMESTIC BUYERS: If you find your item does not meet its description (see Etsy's return policy) you may return it, at *your cost, for a refund of the original purchase price, minus the original and return shipping charges, as these charges go directly to the US Postal Service, not to me. Items purchased by Domestic buyers must be returned within 7 business days in original packaging and in a box or envelope equal to that which it arrived in.
REFUNDS: INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: After I approve a return, International buyers have 15 days to return an item(s), following the directions stated above, and should provide me with a tracking number. I will refund the purchase price for the item as soon as I receive the item back. See "REFUNDS: DOMESTIC BUYERS) above for additional information about refunds.
I work very hard to accurately describe each of my items and provide multiple photographs so you can see exactly what you are getting. Any oversights are completely unintentional. Computer monitor resolutions and color settings can impact the appearance of items. I am not aware of a method to prevent this, as these settings are not standardized. I do not consider variations in color (unless blatant: a red item is listed as yellow, and so on) as a gross misrepresentation of an item.
*If you receive the wrong item (this hasn't happened to me yet!) I will refund the return shipping charge to you after I receive the item back. Please be sure the shipping charge is displayed on the package so I can refund the exact amount. I will ship the correct item immediately upon notification of the error (at no extra charge, since you probably already paid for the shipping when you initially purchased the item).
I NEVER ship damaged items.
ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS: If you don't find the answer to a question after reading through my shop policies, please send me a convo. And make sure to ask any questions you may have prior to making a purchase.
CUSTOM ORDERS: I take on custom orders when possible, depending on the time of the year (a week before Christmas is not a great time for a custom order request >^.^<, unless you don't need the item until after the second week of January) and depending on my schedule.
It generally takes at least two weeks to complete a simple custom order and can take longer depending on the difficulty of the item as well as how many other custom orders I am already undertaking. If you want something custom made, please contact me and I'll see if I can accommodate your request.
CUSTOM ORDER CHECKLIST FOR BUYERS:
The information I need to know is: The quantity of items (one nest, two cupcakes, etc.).
Whether you want loose items or a "packaged" finish product; meaning, if you wanted a dozen eggs, do you want them loose, or do you want them in a bowl, a basket, a vintage wood egg stand, etc.
If you want a "packaged" item, what size is the area you are intending to use the item in? This will help me determine the shape of the packaging, whether a round item is better suited to your purpose than a rectangular item, etc.
Are there specific colors or seasonal elements you want in your item?
And, finally, a rough idea of your budget, if budget is a concern.
CUSTOM ORDERS INFORMATION FOR BUYERS: Custom orders generally cost a bit more than items listed in my shop as they require extra time and effort to make and are made to your specifications. However, I don't inflate prices dramatically. For instance, if I already have parts on hand that I can use, I charge less than I would if I had to make each and every part for your finished item. And if you are truly unhappy with the finished item, I will more than likely not require you to fulfill the sale. I say "more than likely" because every order is different. It would depend on how much I am out of pocket on a custom item; not just for my time, but any actual financial investment I need to make to complete the item. This hasn't happened yet. But I like to cover all potential issues upfront.
Also, I generally don't require a down payment for Custom Orders, but if I need to purchase supplies that are exceptionally expensive, or that I wouldn't ordinarily use, I may ask for a deposit upfront. Also, if you have less than ten transactions and/or purchases on Etsy, I may ask for a deposit for a custom order. Deposits are non-refundable, even if you cancel the order. Again, this hasn't happened yet, but in the interest of addressing any potential issues, I am mentioning it now.
CANCELING A CUSTOM ORDER: Generally, I am willing to work with you if you need to cancel a custom order before I finish making it. However, if I have finished the components for a piece or have finished the entire item, I will honor your cancellation, but I will most likely not accept another custom order from you in the future, and I may block you from making any future purchases from my shop. I put a lot of time into getting the details just right on my creations, and I only have evening hours to devote to this, so if I lose time making a custom order that a buyer doesn't buy, I've lost precious time and additional potential revenue. Hence the need for the above paragraph. Unfortunately, this has happened once.
REGULAR SHOP INVENTORY: As for my usual shop inventory, I will always do my best to identify any items that may be part of my finished product or visible in my photos that I have not personally made, such as baskets, dishes, packaging or other background items or props.
PHOTOGRAPHS AND PROPS: I use multiple items in my photographs for display and scale perspective. Some of these items are NOT for sale; others are, in SEPARATE listings. The item(s) specified, and only the item(s) specified in the listing is for sale.
I may use items from other artists and Etsy sellers in my listing photos as props to give buyers an idea of the size of the item I am selling in relation to other miniatures of the same scale, to promote other artists work and/or for decorating ideas. I will identify these individuals and their items whenever I can. If you're an artist and see something of yours in my listing, which isn't identified, please let me know. I would love to share your information with potential buyers.
MATERIALS: I try to list all of the materials I use in my creative process. If I fail to list a particular product or material that went in to the construction of a piece, please know that it is either an inadvertent mistake or unavoidable, if I don't know what the element is (I use "found objects" in my pieces from time to time).
