Item details

This unique vintage Ford Motor Co Martin Instruments 12" dual scale composite plastic and wood precision drafting scale has both metric and inches. The metric scale reads 1/2 mm and the inches scale reads 50th of an inch.

This was made by the Martin Instrument company specifically for Ford Motor Co. engineering. The Martin Instrument Co. was out of Australia. It is made of plastic and wood composite. Lays flat with beveled edges.

A great piece of automotive memorabilia. Who knows what projects this drafting scale was used on.

Additional policies

Each item categorized as vintage has been researched to the best of my ability in order to determine manufacture date, rarity, and to price fairly. In some cases the date may not be exact. If at any time, anyone viewing my posting sees any details that should be corrected please contact me. Thank you.

Also please keep in mind: Vintage items may show some wear due to the age. I will do my best to accurately describe any flaws. Some items that are obviously rustic in appearance, I will not bother to point out such flaws. If it's an item that is electronic or mechanical in nature, I will always tell you if it does or doesn't work properly.
