Cross is hand crafted in Ireland from real Irish Rushes
The placing of a St. Brigid's cross in your home is an Irish custom many centuries old, it is still practiced in many parts of Ireland today. The cross is made from rushes or straw and placed in houses to keep them safe from fire, evil and want. The crosses are made and hung annually on 1st February on the feast of St. Brigid.
