When babies are born, they can see black, white and the color red. Many studies have discovered that these colors allow the neurons in the brains of babies, newborn to 4 months old, to connect and form synapses as they learn to see and concentrate on the world around them. This quilt is designed with that process in mind. As baby grows older, you can substitute novelty fabrics for the black, white and red squares and make an “I Spy” quilt or showcase that fabric you just can’t seem to cut up.
