Louet mini-combs are used for de-hairing and fine fiber combing. After combing, the fiber can be pulled into a sliver or spun straight from the comb. These combs, made of ash with a lacquer finish, are both 6.5 cm (2 1/2") wide and are lightweight (70 gm/2.4 oz each) and easy on your wrists.

As a safety precaution, all Louet combs are machined so they are not razor sharp. The tines are are 4 mm apart and 5.5 cm long, set in a plastic fiting that is about 3.5 mm deep, and enclosed in wood to prevent end tines from breaking.

I love these combs. I find the tines bend very easily and are quite frail though. I'm new to combing fiber though and I believe this to be normal. I have been carefully combing my rambouillet fleece and it is turning out beautiful. I haven't tried spinning from the combs though because I fear they may be too delicate for that.

Items will be shipped after payment has cleared, in most cases within 2-3 days. For large or custom-order items, up to two weeks might be required for me to obtain the materials from my suppliers and make your item. Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Additional return information
I will accept returns of knitting needles, crochet hooks, spinning equipment, and yarn if the items are unused and unopened. If the return is a result of my error (e.g., I sent you the wrong size crochet hook). I will exchange or refund the item, and you will not be responsible for return mailing costs. If the return is not a result of an error on my part (e.g., you decided that hook just wasn't what you really wanted), I will refund your purchase price after you mail the item back to me (at your expense) and I have received it.

I cannot accept returns of spinning fiber or, for customs reasons, items or orders valued at over 22 euros.
