This image is from a batik by Carol named "Catch the Wind" and portrays a the horse as part of the sky and clouds and is caught by wind currents. The interconnection of all things is portrayed here in this batik with air elements becoming part of the rising energy. The horse shimmers in nature's light. The 2nd photo on the right shows the full image of the fabric. the last photo shows me beginning to paint wax on the fabric with a tool called a tjanting. This tool has a brass bowl with a spout that is used to create wax lines that will resist the dye. Anyone loving the earth and horses will love to own this elegant batik fabric. It may be made into a quilt accent or framed.
