Colombian Emerald 4 x 3 mm Rectangular Cut Gemstone-HIGHLY CRYSTALLINE With Great Clarity-May Birthstone
This is some high grade Colombian emerald material.
Rarely do they pull up material that is so highly crystalline and transparent that when you can find this rare emerald type you should buy it up because it may be another 20 years before they pull this gem quality material out of the ground again.
This gemstone is so highly transparent and crystalline that you can see right through it. It has a nice medium green neon color and is virtually "eye clean" meaning that there are inclusions but they are difficult to see without a 10x jewelers loupe.
Take a look at the photos. All type III gemstones have inclusions, even the highest quality material. It just goes with the territory and is acceptable especially in emeralds to have inclusions and fissures. Collectively, these are called "jardin" which is French for "garden" because it appears like foliage. Jardin is not considered a flaw in emeralds, in fact it is widely accepted and uniquely characteristic to each gemstone. Additionally, emerald's jardin virtually guarantees the purchaser that the gemstone is indeed authentic.
Many emeralds, even the Colombian variety undergo some type of treatment. Usually with emeralds, it is a process known as "fissure filling" or "fracture filling" and/or oiling. Certain resins or other materials are infused into the emerald then heated to very high temperatures. What this does is that it makes the natural inclusions, fissures, and other internal characteristics much less noticeable to the naked eye. It is a standard industry accepted practice for emeralds to undergo this process. This treatment process is permanent and does not degrade over time. There are rare occasions where some emerald material does not require treatment but not only are these pieces ridiculously expensive but are extremely rare and often cannot be found through your local jewelry stores or anywhere in the United States for that matter.
This Colombian gemstone material has undergone the industry accepted treatment of oiling only. No other enhancements or treatments have been performed on this gem.
The stone measures 4.0 x 3.0 mm and weighs 0.35 carats. It is a small stone but it really packs a gemological punch with its gorgeous neon green color and sparkle, AND IT IS REAL COLOMBIAN EMERALD!!!!!
Emerald is the birthstone for May. Many folks with a May birthday simply cannot afford their own birthstone and are forced to resort to manmade, synthetic emerald or natural gemstone alternatives. You can now own a piece of genuine, authentic Colombian emerald at an extremely affordable price.
This stone would make a beautiful solitaire ring, pendant or simply as an addition to your personal gemstone collection.
As I do with EVERY gemstone I sell in my etsy shop, I put each stone through a rigorous array of gemological testing techniques to verify their authenticity. So I am confident that each and every stone I sell is the real thing. I back up my stones with a money back guarantee. If there are any questions or concerns as to the authenticity of any gemstone I sell by a professional jeweler or Graduate Gemologist, I will issue a full refund (although I am confident this will NEVER happen).
Thank you for visiting my shop on etsy.

Shipping & policies
My shipping rates are a flat fee of 4.50 for the first item and 0.99 for each additional item in the same order. This covers all the costs of envelopes, packaging material, handling fees and trips to the post office. Unfortunately, the USPS has raised their rates on ALL domestic and international packages by over 35 percent as of Thursday, January 31, 2018. I sincerely apologize for the shipping rate increase but is beyond my control.
If you are an INTERNATIONAL BUYER, please contact me prior to checkout so I can look up the correct postage for your particular country. Sometimes there are issues with the customs agency of your country, so expect that there might possibly be a delay in delivery of your item. Please note, once a package leaves the United States, there is nothing I can really do to find out exactly where your package might be. If there is an issue, please use the customs number I provided with your order and contact your country's customs agency to find out when you may expect to receive your item.
Additionally, for both domestic and international orders, please understand that I cannot be held responsible for incorrectly delivered packages, stolen packages or items lost by the United States post office or your country's postal service. In these cases, I will do my best to work with you to locate your package with the tracking number provided by USPS or in international shipping cases the customs number for your package. This also includes items being returned to me for refunds or exchanges as well.
Most of my jewelry is inexpensive so insurance is not necessary however some more expensive items, ie. emeralds, ruby, tanzanite, morganite and sapphires, & some of the vintage coins must be insured. PLEASE NOTE: Insurance and tracking fees have already been calculated in the shipping costs you see posted for any items requiring insurance. All items with a value over $100 will be insured for both the buyer's and seller's protection.

Thank you for taking the time to read and understand my shop policies.
All the best!
All items purchased from my shop carry a 30 day warranty. Any item found to be damaged within 30 days of original receipt date will either be replaced (if possible) or a refund given for the full purchase price including shipping costs.
PLEASE NOTE: Items that are deemed to be damaged by improper handling or cleaning on the part of the purchaser are not covered under this warranty.
It is highly advised that you inspect your gemstone or jewelry piece very carefully immediately upon receipt because after the thirty day warranty period expires from the original receipt date, I cannot issue any refunds or exchanges for any purchase of any kind. This is in part due to the large number of attempted scams that force me to strictly adhere to this policy.
I have included some tips and pointers below to aid you in taking better care of your merchandise and specific cleaning techniques to help minimize potential damage occurring to your jewelry or gems.
Many of my gemstone jewelry items can be fragile if not protected from knocks and bumps due to their hardness scores on the Moh's scale. Care must be taken by the buyer to protect against damage especially rings as they are the type of jewelry most susceptible to damage and softer, more brittle gemstones, for example, opals and gemstones with lower Moh's numbers.
Care must also be taken when cleaning certain gemstones. Never use ANY harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaning on ANY items purchased from my shop. Using plain mild soap and warm water with an ultra soft toothbrush is the best cleaning method. This will help avoid damage to the gemstones used in creating some of my jewelry items and the gemstones themselves.
If you have any additional questions on how to take care of and protect your specific gemstone or jewelry piece, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would be more than happy to share my knowledge with you.
ENJOY YOUR PURCHASE!!!!
