Item details

Gwen Stacy: drummer in The Mary-Janes, Peter Parker’s BFF, daughter of a cop, and bitten by a radioactive spider, so kind of a superhero! (But the public sometimes doesn’t see it that way.) Given Web Shooters by former Avenger, Janet van Dyne, Spider-Gwen swings through New York in her signature white, black, pink and blue spider costume, rescuing citizens and clearing her name.

This cross stitch pattern is the perfect home décor piece for lovers of this kick ass comic book superhero, and is also small enough to be used as a jacket patch, bookmark or large fabric-covered badge! The stitched area will be approx 1.25 inches wide by 1.5 inches high (2.9cm x 3.6cm), and fits easily in a 3 inch (7.5cm) embroidery hoop. Your finished design would also look lovely in a square picture frame or a Dandelyne 2.2 inch (55mm) mini hoop. (See Dandelyne on Etsy here: https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/180628947/55mm-miniature-embroidery-hoop-frame )

The pattern uses 4 colours and is best stitched onto 14 count white aida cloth. I recommend this pattern for an advanced beginner, as it features whole stitches and several backstitches. If this is your first project, check out my FAQs for links to some super-helpful how-to videos!

Your download will contain 3 PDF pattern files: one with all the whole stitches, one with all the backstitches, and one with them combined. Since some backstitches cover most of a whole cross stitch symbol, beginners may find it difficult to read the combined file, and may find it easier to stitch their full crosses using file one, then backstitches with file two. More experienced stitchers should be able to stitch using the third file (with combined full cross and backstitch symbols) with no problems.

Please note, this is for a PDF download of the pattern, and not a physical product. The pattern file(s) will be available after cleared payment for immediate download, along with a DMC and Anchor embroidery floss colour legend. Due to variations in screen resolution and printers, colours may vary from those displayed, however the floss colour itself is beautiful together. Unfortunately I am not able to offer refunds on digital download purchases.
