Book 1: Knitting for the Knitting Board, Knitting Loom, and Knitting Rake
This book is dedicated to the “how to” of frame knitting. Whether you are using a knitting board, knitting rake, or knitting loom for the first time or an experienced frame knitter wanting to expand your knowledge, this book will have you knitting amazing fabrics in no time. You can now stop searching the internet for the answers and start knitting. This book has illustrated step by step instructions for a multitude of stitches and techniques for use on these devices. With over 150 color photos and charts, you’ll learn more than 6 methods of casting on, 4 methods of binding off, and a multitude of knitting stitches and techniques. You’ll learn a number of ribbing stitches and various ways to purl. This book includes instructions on the techniques of dropped stitches, slipped stitches, crossed stitches and cables. It includes a section on various types of increases and decreases and how to use them in creating ripple patterns, chevron patterns, and lace patterns. It has information for both single sided and double sided knitting.
Book 2: Pile of Projects for the Knitting Board, Knitting Loom, Knitting Rake
In this book, with 88 pages and over 20 patterns, you will find a variety of projects including fashion accessories, home décor, toys, etc. for use on your frame knitter (knitting boards, looms, rakes). Everyone will find a number of projects that catch their attention. Through the project variety, you can also expand your knowledge of the many uses of your frame knitter. For example, you can learn to knit in the round, use multiple colors, lace knitting, felting, illusion knitting, and knitting cables.
Each pattern is written in easy to understand instructions with no acronyms to remember. All the knit stitches and techniques that are used in each pattern are explained in the Knitting Techniques section of the book.
The title implies this book can be used for knitting boards, knitting looms, and knitting rakes. This is true but not every pattern can be used on every device. All the patterns can be used on the Noble Knitters knitting boards (provided you are using one long enough). One consideration for using the patterns on other knitting frames is whether the project is double sided. If so, then you will need a knitting board. If it is knitted in the round (ex. mittens, bears, socks), you will need a knitting board capable of knitting in the round (such as our Noble Knitters) or a loom with the correct number of pegs. For single sided knitting, you could use a loom or rake (or just one side of a knitting board). Then as long as you have enough pegs with similar peg spacing, you’re ready.
