This is a delightful 9x9 flower mat ready for hooking in the primitive style. It would be a perfect little piece to add a nice accent to any table, or tack it to a pillow or bag to add your own decorative style.
Included in this kit are: * a hand drawn pattern on primitive linen canvass with serged edges and zig-zag stitching for finishing * new 100% wools (washed, felted and cut) * cording and hand dyed yarn for whipped edges * pattern directions * picture of finished piece * a Moshimer primitve rug hook if selected
The wools included in this pattern are: a deep red solid (shows black in the picture), a gold herringbone, a green herringbone, a white solid and a taupe-red-blue-black plaid.
The size of the canvass is 16 x 16 so it would fit any embroidery hoop, quilting hoop, or rug frame smaller than 14 inches easily.
Please note. This is traditional rug hooking, not latch hooking. The materials used to complete this project are strips of wool cloth. Tools needed are a rug hook, a frame of some kind (embroidery, quilting, or rug hooking) to hold the pattern taut, scissors, and a large eye needle for finishing.
