This is a very pretty vintage quilt top that is unfinished. I believe the pattern is called "Flower Basket". The quilt top measures approx. 56 x 80". The edges have been turned under and I suspect that it was used as a tablecloth. The large blocks are a buttercup yellow and the ones with the baskets are a very light yellow. The prints are 1940's cotton feed sack prints, some solids were used as well. This darling little quilt top is not in perfect condition. It has some light spots, probably from food that did not come out when I laundered it. It was made partly by hand and partly machine stitched. The baskets were appliqued by machine. It is adorable and with some patience you could more than likely be able to remove the light spots But all in all, it isn't an heirloom quality quilt top so it could continue it's little life on the kitchen or picnic table. It has been freshly laundered and my home is non smoking.
