This late Victorian/Edwardian picture frame is made of wood cut into the shape of a horseshoe and painted black to mimic ebony. The framed space is flanked with gilt topped square nails, four on each side. On the back is the neatest little twisted wire pair of legs to hold the frame upright. The only condition issues that I can find are a small split at an edge (see photo) and the glass has some rough spots on some edges and corners all hidden by the frame. Overall the piece is in fine shape. The lady pictured is a greeting card that I added.
