You are getting 1 handmade (we make it in our own shop) tatting shuttle from Merbau also known as Kwila, Ipil.
Merbau grows in East Africa, Southeast Asia and Australia; (primarily New Guinea)
Leopard Merbau has a very unusual pattern , with small veins that remind of the leopard colouring . The pattern is textured, with black spots on a golden brown background of wood.
The points of the shuttle interlock well and hold perfectly the thread. Even when completely filled with thread and beads, the shuttle doesn't unlock during the tatting process.
Please kindly note that the color of the shuttle may be different from the one on the pictures as the color of the heartwood may vary.
Wow, what beautiful little shuttles. I am so happy with them. The woods are lovely and the craft work is even better! And thank you So much for the present. That blond wood has such lovely markings on the grain. What a delight to find another Entire Shuttle as a present. That was a very special parcel! You are very generous. I will highly recommend your shop to my tatting Friends.
