Item details

This pattern booklet for my Scarf Collection is one of a series of the Marla Richard Designs for Board Knitting collection. It includes complete instructions for creating 4 different type of scarves on a knitting board. Whether you want to make them for yourself or for others, here is a great pattern that will have you producing a favorite scarf in no time. You can knit one for every family member and friend.

The instruction booklet gives complete step by step instructions for creating four types of scarves. You may choose to make a soft plush scarf, an Aran cable classic scarf, an elegant diamond lace scarf, or traditional striped scarf. This booklet includes detailed instructions for creating these scarves from casting on to binding off. It includes chart diagrams where needed. It also includes an illustrated Stitch Library section that covers all the knitting board stitches and special techniques found in these scarves including knitting cables and creating openwork eyelets. So, whether you are an experienced board knitter or using one for the first time, you too can create your own collection of scarves.

If you are new to knitting boards, they are a fun and extremely easy way to knit without needles. No prior knowledge of knitting or crocheting is required before you are making afghans, sweaters, rugs, scarves (like the ones shown here), purses, etc. Easy enough for a child to do – and many children love using them. You can knit using both sides, called double knitting, or just using one side.

Note, if you are using one of the knitting boards made by us, these scarves can be made on our Noble Knitter 50 or Noble Knitter 100 knitting boards. If you need a knitting board, check out the ones I have available at www.etsy.com/shop/frameknitting . If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!
