Item details

This knitting pattern is special because the stitch-patterns shape the beanie!
The pattern starts at the top of the cap, with a 10-stitch cast on. You work in the round, knitting the "Growing Leaf" pattern.
Then, the stitch-count becomes constant as you work down the sides of the beanie, using the "Lace Wings" stitch pattern.
Some rows of Purl and some eyelets also decorate the cap.
The brim is formed of stockinette stitch, which rolls to form a narrow edge.
Pattern Difficulty: Intermediate.
You must know how to set-up and work with Double-Point needles. You must know how to knit in the round. You must be familiar with lace-knitting techniques (Yarn-Over & K2tog).
You must know how to use circular needles.
