Mullein is a plant often seen growing in fields and meadows. It's so common that in many parts of the United States people believe it's a native plant—but it's not.
Verbascum thapsus takes up a lot of space and can be a wonderful addition to the back of a garden border or it can be added to fields that are being converted into flowering meadows. If you're making a transition from a natural area to a cultivated garden area this will work well too.
Common mullein has long been used for herbal remedies, yet this herb can also make a lovely addition to the ornamental garden. Its huge flower stalks are always quite amazing and a natural wonder to behold as they're able to reach great heights.
This is a plant that's long been used by humans. If you're interested in learning more about it, there are a lot of resources available online describing its many usages.
Verbascum thapsus is native to Europe, North Africa, and Asia, and was introduced in the Americas and Australia.
Germination instructions are included with your seeds. These are easy to germinate and grow. (about 500 seeds)

Seeds All growing recommendations made for seed germination are compiled from recognized botanical and horticultural sources. Please note these directions before growing, and follow them carefully. Should a germination problem arise, please notify us within one year of purchase. Refunds and exchanges will be granted if a germination problem has been brought to our attention by customers, and if we have noticed it ourselves here in the garden since we grow the same seeds ourselves.
