Worldwide shipping available upon request. We ship via USPS, UPS, FedEx Ground or Greyhound within three business days of receiving payment. For Hawaii & Alaska, please communicate with us prior to purchase in case a shipping cost adjustment is necessary.
We make every effort to ensure that your purchase arrives safely and promptly. We are passionate about being environmentally friendly and your item typically is sent in a re-used box from local small businesses in our community. When we must, we purchase the right-sized box for you at another local small business. We always use new and/or lightly used packing material. (i.e. new bubble-wrap and recently produced newspaper.) We personally package your item with great care and hand deliver it to USPS or FedEx. You will automatically receive a shipping confirmation upon our shipment of your item. Our shipping costs listed are just estimates as we do not use a shipping calculator. We have found it is best for our small company to manually calculate each order as they occur, as variations with weights and sizes can vary greatly with our wide selection of items. When adjustments are necessary we either promptly issue refunds for shipping overages or request a shipping balance. In the case of requiring a balance, we send documentation to the customer showing the exact costs and options. If the cost is prohibitive to the customer and they do not wish to pay the balance, we are glad to immediately cancel the transaction. Our approach is to give the lowest price on transporting your item, and we do not profit on shipping.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
Custom or personalized orders
Perishable products (like food or flowers)
Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Items on sale

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Additional return information
If you are unhappy with your item for any reason, please contact House of Madcap immediately with an explanation and return the item within 7 days for a full refund. Item needs to be returned in the exact condition in which it was sent. Buyer is responsible for return shipping.
If an item is damaged in the shipping process and you would like a refund, please contact us right away. You must do the following to receive compensation: Save shipping box, all packing material, listing item/s and take photos of these things. Then return item to House of Madcap for a refund. This is necessary in order for us to process an insurance claim.
We make every effort to respond promptly to questions about items, and most often will communicate back within twenty-four hours.
We do our best to describe and photograph our items as accurately as possible. Most of our pieces are vintage and many have character in the form of scuffs, dents and perhaps a musty scent. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, please contact us. We want you to be happy and love your purchase!
We are able to hold items on reserve for 24 hours per special request. We reserve the right to decline a sale to a customer as we so choose. We will not accept any form of threat or belligerent behavior from any customer at any time, and will report any such actions immediately to Etsy.
