Item details

This is a pattern to crochet your own snakes and ladders infinity scarf which also, when doubled, can be worn as a cowl. You can download the pattern in PDF form immediately after payment. You will not receive a finished item, you make it yourself using my pattern.

The reason it is called snakes and ladders will become obvious when making the scarf!

The pattern uses UK terminology throughout. It is 10 pages long, in full colour including a 27 photo tutorial walking you through step by step.

Beginners with a little experience of basic stitches should be able to use this pattern. If you can chain and do double, treble, half treble and slip stitches, you should have no problem.

The finished size of the infinity scarf is approximately 46 inches by 5 inches wide ( 116 cm x 12.5cm) but the size is easily adjusted to be longer or shorter and the pattern explains how to do this.

You will need two colours of any chunky weight yarn to make your neck warmer. For the blue version in the photographs, I used one 100g ball of Stylecraft Mosaic and one 100g ball of DY Choice Chunky with Wool but Stylecraft Special Chunky also works well. If you check your gauge, you can substitute any chunky yarn you like.

In the United States, I understand chunky yarn is categorised as bulky. In Australia it is called 12-ply.

A typical hook to use is 6mm (J). Depending on yarn thickness, you may have to adjust hook size to achieve the correct gauge.

I realise sometimes that when purchasing physical items over the internet, there are any number of reasons why you may find it not exactly as you expected, or the item doesn't match your outfit in the way you anticipated.

For this reason, I offer a full refund for bracelets, necklaces and beads, provided the item is returned within fourteen days of receipt. Please e-mail me to let me know you are returning the item so I can expect it. Postage from you to me is the responsibility of the purchaser.

For earrings, there will be a deduction of £1.50. This is for hygiene reasons, the finding cannot be re-used after the buyer has tried the items on. Please be aware that I cannot take your word for it that you have not tried the item on.

If in the unlikely event your item is faulty, the reimbursement will be in full.

Please be aware when ordering multiple items - say three or four identical necklaces for your bridesmaids - that the returns policy applies to single items or single sets of beads only. If you anticipate the item may not be exactly what you want, it would be best for you to order a single item first to ensure you can take advantage of this returns policy. I am a small business and unable to take multiples of a single item back into stock.

This policy is over and above my legal obligations towards purchasers and your statutory rights are unaffected by this policy.

Additional policies

In the extremely unlikely event that your package does not arrive, please wait for 28 days before contacting me, very occasionally packages are held up in customs in the destination country and I have no way of finding out how long it will be for them to release your package.
