Item details

Spiral Path Beaded Bead tutorial is a project for Advanced Beaders who are experienced with circular Peyote Stitch. Learn how to make a smooth flowing spiral pattern using Delicas, 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads side by side. The beaded bead is constructed over a 16mm unfinished wood base bead. You can find these beads in here in my etsy shop https://www.etsystudio.com/listing/60847069/16mm-round-unfinished-wooden-beads-10?ref=shop_home_active_5

This unique beaded bead is a stunning component in jewelry and also stands beautifully alone as a pendant, or single bead on a chain. It can be adapted to other size base beads and, of course, color ways are limited only by your own imagination!

The tutorial contains detailed step-by-step instructions with lots of hints and tips. There are numerous close-up and clear photos.

Materials list:
Matching size 11 Delica, 11/0 seed bead and 15/0 seed bead in each of 4 colors
(This tutorial is written for Miyuki beads. After you learn the technique it is possible to make adjustments and use or mix in other seed bead brands, but for the best experience with this pattern I highly recommend using all Miyuki beads. The 4 colors are of your choice. I encourage you to use contrasting rather than blending colors. It will be easier to keep track of your work. The color and size key below correspond to the beads used in the pictures in this tutorial. Miyuki stock numbers are included so you can use the same beads if you wish.)

16mm round unfinished wood bead (available in my etsy shop www.TheBeadedBead.etsy.com)

Size 11 beading needles and Size 13 beading needle (the Size 13 is only to use if the size 11 will not make the required multiple passes through some of the 15/0 beads)

4 lb test Fireline (I highly recommend Fireline for this project and you can use 6lb test, however you may have trouble with the required multiple passes through some of the 15/0 beads)

Small Glue Dots (I use small size Zots—usually available at Michaels or JoAnne and various sources online

Color Key:
#1 = Metallic Green Iris (DB27, 11-465, 15-1961)
#2 = Opaque Turquoise (DB729, 11-412, 15-412)
#3 = Metallic Lt Bronze (DB22L, 11-457L, 15-457L)
#4 = Transparent Cobalt (DB707, 11-151, 15-151)

Size Key
A = Size 11 Delica
B = 15/0 seed bead
C = 11/0 seed bead

So, for instance, Metallic Green Iris Delica = #1A

This listing is for the tutorial pdf only. The pictures of finished Spiral Path beaded beads is for illustration only.
