This is a digital file
This is a PDF Digital downloadable pattern, available immediately. It has lots of detailed line drawings and a photo of the finished Bumblebee teddy for guidance.
This delightful Bumblebee Teddybear measures about 7.5cm (3 inches) tall, but you may make him smaller or larger as you prefer. He is made with a separate muzzle, which is then firmly attached to his head. He also has tiny wings, and his hands droop down at the wrist. He has a black bee helmet and a striped black and yellow body. His cute little wings are made with scraps of tulle, wire, and glitter.
The instructions in the pattern assume that you know the basics of needlefelting, and have already made a beginner bear or other animal. Included in the pattern are brief beginner instructions to refresh your memory. This pattern is labelled "Advanced", although he is not really very hard to make and I am sure a confident beginner would manage well.
You will need:
Wool (I used Yellow and Liquorice, which is a good strong black)
Felting needles, sizes 36T, 40T
1 pair 3 mm glass eyes
Thread for nose embroidery
Scraps of Tulle
Fine wire for wings
I am sure you will have fun felting this cute little character teddy.
NOTE: the little toy wagon in photos 3 & 4 are not for sale.
