Build your own three-axis CNC router with these easy to follow plans.
If you can cut parts to size and drill accurate holes, you can build this machine. All you need is a table saw or circular saw, miter saw and drill press, plus a set of hex keys. You can customize a few of the parts to make a bigger or smaller router. Build it as designed and you'll be able to work with pieces up to 3" thick, 16-5/8" wide and 30" long.
This CNC router can be built with MDF, plywood or UHMW plastic (shown). Plans include:
- A complete parts list with sources, including an HTML document that will take you directly to websites where you can get everything you need for this project - Dimensioned drawings for every part in PDF format - Step-by-step assembly animations and images - Video presentations that explain the machining for every part
The machine's footprint is 26-3/4"(W) x 42-1/2"(L) x 28-1/2"(H).
There are several big files in these plans, so you'll download a PDF that contains a link and password to a Dropbox folder with all the content.
