Item details

A wonderful way to bring warmth and charm to your kitchen! This fine vintage tea towel rack comes embroidered with soft tones of green, blue, yellow, and orange in an oval shape, featuring a metal rod across it. Circa 1900's. Should be handled with care, possibly using adhesives instead of nails when hanging.

Condition: There are some chippings around the edge of the cover piece, which is a thick cardboard. Please see photos for details.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING (USA)


Shipped within 1-2 business days to the address provided by your Etsy account. All West Coast domestic orders are shipped via "Priority Mail" with tracking. In order to save on shipping, East Coast domestic packages are shipped as "Parcel Select". Insurance is included on all items valued at $100 and above. At your instruction and for an additional fee, shipment can be upgraded to either Priority or Express mail. Nearly all rugs are shipped via FedEx and therefore automatically insured. A "direct" signature is required upon delivery.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING


All international orders are mailed via USPS First Class Mail International. Any order weighing over 4 lbs will be shipped via Priority Mail. Shipping upgrades and insurance may be purchased for an additional fee. Please note that any customs fees, taxes and/or duties incurred at the time of delivery are not included or paid by House of Séance, thus the buyer is responsible for the applicable fees. Delays in delivery do occur from time to time due to international customs. A "direct" signature is required upon delivery.

UNCLAIMED PACKAGES

For all UNCLAIMED packages the following terms will apply:

1) Store credit only
2) Return shipping fees will be deducted before issuing store credit
3) restocking fees apply for RUGS only
⧫ purchases under $1000: $50
⧫ purchases over $1000: $75

LOST PACKAGES

Claims for lost packages may be processed 30 days after the original shipping date.
House of Séance will subsequently open a claim for the customer with the shipping carrier used. Refunds will be made to customers as soon as House of Séance gets paid from the shipping carrier.


Payments

Payments are accepted via PayPal and all major credit cards.

Sales taxes are applied at checkout according to your state.

LAYAWAY

Our ‘standard’ practice for layaways is as follows, but we will be happy to work out a longer-term plan should you need more time:

A non-refundable down payment of 50% is required at the time of purchase to hold the item. The balance is due within the next 30 days. If subsequent payments are not met timely, a $25 late fee will automatically be applied to your invoice.
To begin your layaway plan:

1) Choose the option ‘other’ during checkout. You don't actually pay anything by checking out with this method. Once we know where the item is shipping to, we will then process and send your down payment invoice via Paypal which will be 50% of the item cost + shipping + tax (if there are any).

2) For your next payment (s), we will send you a payment due date reminder along with a copy of the invoice showing the remaining balance.

3) Your purchase will be shipped upon completion of your dues.

Lastly, if you change your mind before the end of the layaway term, your paid balance will be available as store credit, and applicable towards your next purchase.

Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

REFUND BENEFIT FOR OUR RUG SHOPPERS

We want to make it easy for you to decide on your choices.

Buy up to three rugs, bring them to your space for evaluation, keep what works, and get a full refund for what you return. Domestic shipping costs will be credited for items that are kept.

If everything is returned, the terms will fall back to our default ‘store credit only’ policy, and both ways shipping costs will apply.

NOTE: Shipping fees will apply to all international orders.

RETURN POLICY FOR RUGS ONLY

If for any reason you change your mind about your purchased rug(s), domestic returns can be made up to 14 days after the date of purchase for a store credit only.

♦ Return shipping fees will be the buyer's responsibility.
♦ Before issuing a store credit, the initial shipping cost will be deducted from the total amount, since all domestic shipping costs are covered by us, and are free to our customers.
♦ Rug must be insured for the full purchase value, and a direct signature of an adult is required upon return delivery.
♦ If an incorrect or incomplete address is provided and the package is deemed undeliverable or returned to sender, the buyer is responsible for reshipping charges.
♦ Rug must be shipped back within 14 days of purchase, it must be well-packed, and returned to us in the condition that it was shipped to you initially.
♦ Store credit will be issued within 7 to 10 business days upon receipt and inspection of the rugs.
♦ Sale items are FINAL. Return/exchange/credit or refunds do not apply to items on sale.

For rugs especially, we recommend our customers to inquire about all their color-related questions prior to making a purchase, as colors differ from one monitor to another.

RETURN POLICY FOR OTHER PRODUCTS

All items (excluding rugs) are FINAL sale, and products are sold as is.

Important: Our store policies supersede all pre-selected language by Etsy's default settings, which are included above under the header "The following items can't be returned or exchanged".

We are happy to send more detailed photos for your consideration before your purchase. However, once items are purchased we will not issue a refund but will consider an exchange or credit on a case-by-case basis.

Color: Several variables affect exact colors; when in doubt, we encourage you to ask detailed questions instead of relying on the posted photos. Most pile rugs have a dark and a light side, depending if they are viewed from the top or bottom side of the frontal part of the rug.

Descriptions: We make every effort to accurately and completely describe the condition of our vintage items and their possible flaws. For anything with internal mechanisms, keep in mind that the vintage nature exempts the articles from any current safety standards. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that the purchased items are safe for their intended use.

Design Consultation: While we do not offer direct consultation, when requested, we gladly assist our customers by providing advice and giving them suggestions.

RUG REPAIRS

♦ While it is natural for vintage and antique rugs to have some aging marks, we understand that fixing some wear and tear will enhance the longevity of your rug. Inquire us to discuss your repair needs, and to get you a quote. We work with expert specialists with excellent craftsmanship who have over 35 years experience in the business.

Shipping fees will be charged should you decide to send back your rug for repairs.
