THIS listing is for a digital PDF cross stitch pattern, 7 inches by 8 inches, with stitch counts, floss colours and floss usage based on 14count cloth, pictured here in an 8 by 10 inch frame. Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen, is a novel which has entertained generations. Within it contains all the wisdom one needs to navigate romance, courtship and marriage. Well maybe if one lived in Regency England. If you can’t cope with the book, chances are you can cope with Colin Firth, particularly after that lake scene. This much loved novel starts simply with “It is a truth universally acknowledged that a man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife”. From this sentence a tale of morality, love, manners and marriage unfolds. So here is my nod to Pride and Prejudice and how love will, eventually, conquer all. When listing cross stitch or embroidery patterns I will always use photographs of the finished item. I won’t be lazy and use a snap from a digital program of coloured pixels for ‘stitches’. That way you know that every pattern I list has been stitched by at least me and any other test stitchers I can rope into action.
