Bamboo Stitch Newborn Bonnet
By: maggie + gray
I consider this hat a moderate skill level.
Must be comfortable with Kitchener Stitch, as this is used for seaming the back of bonnet.
Yarn: Aran/ Worsted #4 Medium weight yarn. Aprox 40 yards. (3-4 stitches per inch)
Example yarns: Cascade Yarn Eco Duo Alpaca, Lion Brand Landscapes, Red Heart Boutique Treasure
Needles: US Size 11 straight needles, or
US Size 11 circular to be used as straight (this is what I prefer)
Supplies: yarn needle & row counter
Size: True Newborn (up to 14 days)
*after 14 days (or a big head), hat will fit more snug, with less slouch
Abbreviations/ Need to Know:
k = Knit
p = Purl
psso = Pass yarnover over k2
yo = yarnover - when done on first stitch of row- its a , bring the yarn forward
*—* = Anything between *’s is to be repeated across entire round
Kitchener Stitch = Seaming for the back. Look up online if unsure.

Returns & exchanges
If you have an issue with you purchase, please let me know and I will do my best to make it better!
I accept custom orders and some custom colors may be available. If you have any requests for fiber type, let me know.
All hats are currently made with a soft & beautiful Alpaca/ Acrylic blend!
I love Alpaca for its shiny softness and allergy friendly fibers!
Care: Hand-washing is recommended in cold water with mild detergent. Lay flat to dry. Do not wring to release water, as it could warp the hat.. simply blot with a towel to absorb excess water & lay flat to dry!
