Item details

This is a serious lens. Made by Kiron, the same outfit that made some of the famous Series 1 zooms. It's built like a tank, with big glass - 62mm filter size. This one shows its age with numerous small rub spots and nicks in the paint. There are a number of tiny marks in the front element coating - otherwise the glass is perfect with no other scratches, haze or fungus. The test negatives I shot show no effects from the front coating flaws, they were bright, contrasty and very sharp. The zoom has just the right amount of friction. The lens works like new, zooms and focuses smoothly, has fast and dry aperture blades. The glass is multi-coated for low internal reflections. If you don't want to shell out big bucks for a Series 1 zoom, this one is a close second for a lot less. Comes with both caps.
