How to make a botanical oil infusion: *To get healing properties, infuse your botanicals for your soaps, lotions, and other body products. 1oz- 2oz botanicals/ 16oz olive oil or any liquid(soft) oil. You can use either the quick heated method or the cold infusion method. *Quick/heated method-Put oil in heavy pan and heat to about 120’, stir in crushed/rubbed botanicals and remove from heat. After it’s cooled, return the pan to the heat slowly to no greater than 120’-130’ or you will risk losing the therapeutic properties. Repeat process over a 4-8 hour period. Strain through a fine sieve or cheese cloth while still warm.
