Item details

Hand made Doffer Stick / Batt Picker, used to safely remove your batt from your Drum Carder. The way that I use the hook is to loosen up a section of the batt at a time, then go back and remove the entire batt. The stick also works nicely to lift the stray bits of fiber that remain, and you don't hurt your fingertips.

The lovely wood turned handle is 5 inches, and the metal stick is 5 inches.

This Batt Picker / Doffer Hook was hand made by Charles Parks, who with his wife, Mary, own Still Water Fiber Farm in Pleasantville, Iowa. Charles, not only lovingly cares for their flock of beautiful Cormo and CVM sheep, but also creates spinning tools for all of us fiber artists. The Hedge wood in this is from trees grown on his own farm in Iowa.

Payments

Most buyers purchase from my shop using PayPal or Etsy's Direct Check. These are easiest for me. But if you rather send a check or money order, that's fine too.
Fiber folks must be conscientious and dependable because I have never had a bad transaction. If you need time to pay or have to cancel a purchase, just let me know. I'm naievely trusting and trustworthy.

Returns & exchanges

If you aren't happy, let me know. I will do an exchange or give your money back, or whatever it takes to have a happy customer. Buying fiber is hard from a picture. Ideally, you need to feel, caress, and, yes, even smell it.

Additional policies

Please let me know if you have allergies to fragrances because I store my fiber with lavender sachets. I can rewash the yarn before I send it out.
