Item details

Hand spun from soft merino wool, each skein of embroidery floss contains 45 yards of high-twist single-ply thread. Pure merino wool. Hand wash, lay flat to dry; suitable for felting.

Note: I use tiny drop spindles to spin these singles, which come in at over 40 WPI (lace weight yarn is between 16 and 18 WPI).

Individual skeins are available in these colors:

Dahlia: a lovely ruby red with slight purple undertones
Marigold: a bright, happy orange
Primrose: sunny lemon yellow
Moss: soft, cool green
Chicory: airy, misty sky blue
Siberian Iris: rich eggplant purple
Teasle: warm brown
Dusty Miller: cool, cloudy gray

Returns & exchanges

Refunds will only be issued in the event of order cancellation and any damage to your items or if they're lost in transit, stolen by aliens, or eaten by dinosaurs. This applies to spinning fiber as well as yarn, with the exception of yarn that is unwound and partially used or spinning fiber that has been unpacked, prepped for spinning, and/or partly spun.

Additional policies

Custom spinning orders: I can only handle fiber in amounts up to a pound since--gasp!--I'm only one person. In order to get custom yarn spun, from start to finish the process takes at least a week between the actual spinning and the soaking/drying/finishing. If you're not sure about what's involved or have any questions about either the process or what I can and can't do with fiber, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm here to share information as well as my skills.

If you'd prefer your yarn not to be soaked in scented Eucalan, please indicate this in the Notes section when you place your order.
