Sara Jewelry Design. I frequently find myself in possession of interesting, beautiful, and/or quirky beads that have been part of other projects and pieces of jewelry. As a devotee of recycling, I like to rescue and upcycle those beads I feel would make artistic contributions to new works. However, since I have more of these than I can ever use in about ten lifetimes, I frequently choose to “rehome” these treasures with other jewelry artists. This is one of those treasures.
Offered here is a dramatic lampwork glass focal bead in a flat lozenge shape. The body color is a transparent dark olive green and the central core has been lined in silver foil. The outer body is striped in a brick red.
The bead measures 30x20mm and is 9mm thick. It has a 3.5mm hole drilled longitudinally. It would make a dramatic focal in a pendant, necklace, or bracelet design.
This bead came to me as a part of a large bead exchange, so I do not know much about its history; however, it is in good condition and ready to find its way into a new design.
I will ship these your way the next business day via USPS first class mail with a delivery tracking number.
