We want our customers to love what they buy and, equally as important, to appreciate what our store represents, so if there is any problem with your purchase, we ask that you give us the benefit of the doubt and the first opportunity to make it right.
Measurements are of the garment size, taken flat across then doubled for bust, waist and hip. One should always allow room for freedom of movement. The best way to ensure a garment will fit is to measure a piece of clothing that fits well and compare it to the measurements provided.
The mannequins used range from Size XS (approximately size 0-2) to S (approximately size 2-4). Quite often, especially on Medium, Large and Extra Large size garments, the item is pinned to the mannequin in the photo to show a proper fit. It is always best to go by the measurements for the best indicator of sizing/fit. Any size indicated in listings is simply our best guess of the size the garment might fit.
Our commitment is to describe to the best of our ability the condition of each item in as much detail as possible. Remember, however, that vintage clothing has often been loved and worn in another life and hence it is often not without some normal wear and tear appropriate to its age.
Categories frequently used include: -- EXCELLENT: flawless, like new, no visible defects or flaws, wear ready -- VERY GOOD+: minor flaws/slight imperfections and/or previous repair not obvious nor does the imperfection compromise wearability -- VERY GOOD: shows signs of subtle aging, gently used or may need simple repairs, laundering or dry cleaning -- GOOD: has flaws that need attention before being worn, may have holes or stains that may necessitate a professional repair, or thorough cleaning. -- FAIR/POOR: Multiple flaws, may need reconstruction, salvaged for material or used for study.
