Blue-faced leicester sheep originate in Hexham, a county of Northumberland in England in the early 1900's belonging to the English Longwool family.
The mix with the Columbia and Targhee has given this fleece a wonderful combination of crimp and softness. A true example of why mixed breed fleeces should not be overlooked.
These locks wash up very well, maintaining the lock structure and are very fine and soft with average luster.
Staple length is about 3 to 6 inches and 24 to 28 microns.
Offered in 1 oz raw portion.
Please see my store policy on **actual shipping charges only**. For multiple items there is likely to be an overage from calculated to actual shipping. I will happily refund any amounts in excess of $2.00 over actual. Please convo me prior to purchase if you wish for an estimate or separate listing.
Given the wide variation in shipping costs, I have the high end listed as a safeguard for my costs. If for example someone were to purchase 2 ounces of fleece the shipping cost would be representative of actual. If someone purchased 12 ounces of fleece the shipping cost would likely be too high. For any shipping overages of $2 or more than the actual shipping cost, I will happily refund the difference, and have done so for any applicable sales. Please convo me if you wish to have a custom listing set up for specific purchases and possible combined shipping costs.
