This listing pictures View A of the Opal Coat- & Cardigan. All views are included in the pattern.

The Opal Coat & Cardigan is perfect to throw on if you want to add more dimension to your outfit, or just stay warm this winter. It’s even better for those days where you’re not sure you’ll need the extra layer since it’s so easy to throw on and off. It has a relaxed fit so you can wear it over anything if you need the extra layer. It’s just as easy to take off again since it has no buttons or buttonholes. Sewing buttonholes in a stretchy knit can’t be anyones favourite and you won’t have to with the Opal. This makes it a really quick sew as well, to be finished in just a few hours.

The coat- & cardigan has a relaxed fit with dropped shoulders. This pattern has three views to choose from: three necklines, three different lengths, two sleeve lengths and two different pockets that are designed specifically for the shorter and longer lengths. The front openings are finished with bands, as is the neckline. The sleeves have wide cuffs. The hem is finished with a turn and stitch method. Your fabric choice will determine the overall look of your cardigan: you can go for a sleek and lightweight cardigan or a cosy and bulky coatigan.

The model in the photo's is 5'10" and wears size B tapered to C at the hips. All the samples are lengthened to compensate for height.

Comes in 10 sizes. Range:
Bust: 31.5 - 49" (80 - 124)
Hip: 34 - 50.5" (86-128 cm)

The .zip file contains files to either Print at Home files or at the Copyshop on large format paper. It also contains a detailed illustrated instruction booklet.

This pattern works great. It's easy to print and to assemble. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. With 3 different length and 2 different sleeves there are tons of possibilities making it out of different materials - this cardigan will go with me for all seasons. I made the shortest version with 3/4 sleeves out of a heavy doubleface knit 100% wool and it turned out very well. I surely will make one in more drapy jersey and one in bulky knitwear to imitate a homeknitted look. Would be fun to make it out of sweatshirt fabric!
